  1. Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, and salt. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

  2. Cook the chicken in a pan or grill until browned and cooked through. Set aside.

  3. Heat butter in a pan, sauté chopped onions until golden.

  4. Add pureed tomatoes, cook until oil separates from the mixture.

  5. Add spices – garam masala, chili powder, salt – and cook for a few minutes.

  6. Pour in cream and mix well to make a smooth, rich sauce.

  7. Add the cooked chicken and kasuri methi. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.

  8. Garnish with cream or butter, and serve hot with naan or rice.
